Intro to the role

As the Head of Platform Product Management, you will lead strategy, development, and launch of our SaaS platform, collaborating with engineering, data science, and business teams. You will own the platform roadmap, prioritize features, and ensure the platform meets customer needs.

You will oversee the Ookla Platform Product Management Team, enabling data science and applications teams to generate insights from diverse data sources, empowering stakeholders like policymakers, marketers, and planners to make data-driven decisions.

You will define the strategy for transforming our portfolio, aligning with customer needs and company growth, and work cross-functionally to identify opportunities and deliver impact.

Expectations for Success

1. Define Product Vision & Strategy: Establish long-term vision aligned with company goals.
2. Platform Roadmap: Develop and manage the platform roadmap, prioritizing features with cross-team collaboration.
3. Platform Strategy: Lead data collection, platform, and data exposure strategies.
4. API Roadmap: Create strategies for APIs that enrich QoS/QoE data.
5. New Metrics: Develop real-world user experience metrics.
6. Prioritization: Focus on customer needs, business value, and feasibility.
7. Collaboration & Agile Development: Work with teams to ensure smooth product delivery.
8. Quality & Customer Insights: Ensure quality and understand customer needs.
9. Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement: Plan launches and equip sales teams.
10. Product Performance & Team Leadership: Optimize product and lead the team.
11. Vendor & Data Protection Strategies: Increase adoption and ensure data privacy compliance.
12. Customer Engagement: Lead executive discussions for growth opportunities.

Requirements
