Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe is seeking a Certified Peer Support Worker II to provide culturally based life skills services under the Behavioral Health Program. The role involves outreach, community engagement, and collaboration with clinical staff to address barriers to treatment for San Felipe members, including youth and adults.

Responsibilities include direct CCSS services, documentation in electronic health records, supervision participation, and home-visit-based outreach.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current active CPSW certification required.
• Keres language fluency.
• Two years of experience as a Certified Peer Support Worker or equivalent culturally-based services.
• Knowledge of the customs and values of the San Felipe community and appreciation for traditional ways of life and language.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training to maintain CPSW certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct CCSS Peer Support Services to clients through an assigned caseload.
• Delivers direct services to clients within the Medicaid CCSS framework.
• Documents services through electronic health records.
• Participates in weekly supervision.
• Provides cultural and language support to clinical staff.
• Coordinates with clinical staff to determine client needs and barriers to treatment.
• Coordinates with supervisor to provide Peer Support services in a community setting including home visits.
• Advocates for tribal members to promote positive self-care and resiliency.
• Provides outreach to current clients and other community members as determined.
• Assists and guides staff in providing culturally competent services to San Felipe members.
• Participates in staff meetings and development to support culturally competent program services.
• Attends trainings as recommended to maintain CPSW certification.
