Job summary

Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority (JPHSA) Behavioral Health Community Services seeks a CPST Program Director to supervise social workers and counselors, ensure policy adherence, and manage day‑to‑day operations of the CPST program.

A master’s degree in a social science, health or human services, nursing, or health administration plus three years of behavioral health treatment experience is required; a doctorate in the same fields or a medical degree with two years of related experience

Qualifications

• Required master’s degree plus three years of behavioral health treatment experience; or doctorate/medical degree with two years of related experience.
• Leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Familiarity with CPST program operations and clinical governance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Social Workers and Professional Counselors in CPST per guidelines.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations and monitor caseloads and authorization processes.
• Attend staff meetings, provide clinical supervision, and ensure timely service delivery.
• Review assessments and documentation to support diagnoses and medical necessity.
• Lead clinical decision making and liaison with external agencies as needed.
