Job summary

Apex Technology, Inc. is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) / Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to support the Director of Security in managing all classified program security across cleared manufacturing and engineering operations in Los Angeles.

The role ensures compliance with NISPOM, DoD/IC directives, and customer security requirements while enabling program execution and personnel clearance management.

Qualifications

• US citizen with active TS/SCI eligibility.
• 3+ years IC/DoD security experience.
• Knowledge of NISPOM, SAP, SCI and related security regulations.
• Experience with DISS, NBIS, NISS databases.
• Understanding of DD Form 254s.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Experience in aerospace/defense security is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and steward Apex security program, ensuring USG compliance for sensitive information.
• Manage classified program security activities, including document control, visits, access rosters, briefings, and secure communications.
• Oversee employee clearances and access control in line with NISPOM, ICDs and FSO requirements.
• Audit clearance status and coordinate with HR/legal for timely processing.
• Support Insider Threat Program with reporting and training.
• Prepare for inspections/audits (DCSA, sponsoring agency) and ensure readiness.
• Provide security training, conduct physical security assessments, respond to incidents.
• Record daily checks on cleared facility access control and alarms per DoD requirements.
• Assist in TCPs and export-controlled workflows with Engineering/Operations.
• Act as backup to the FSO for daily operations and government interface.
