Job summary

Apex is seeking an experienced Contractor Program Security Officer to support classified programs at SCI and SAP levels. You will serve as the primary security authority, ensuring compliance with government regulations and safeguarding critical information.

You will work with Program Managers, Government Security Representatives, and senior leadership to develop and oversee comprehensive security programs, including PSIs and SCGs, while maintaining accreditation and incident response

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and ability to maintain Top Secret clearance with SAP access.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Program Security Officer or CPSO in SCI/SAP environments.
• Strong working knowledge of NISPOM, ICDs, and DoD SAP policy and directives.
• Experience managing SCIF and SAPF accreditation processes.
• Familiarity with personnel security systems such as DISS, NBIS, and SIMS.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary security point of contact for SCI and SAP programs, providing day-to-day oversight.
• Develop, implement, and maintain PSIs, SCGs, and other security documentation.
• Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and indoctrinations for program personnel.
• Manage access rosters, visit requests, and personnel security records.
• Ensure compliance with NISPOM, ICD 705/503, DCSA inspection requirements, and SAP directives.
• Coordinate SCIF/SAPF accreditation actions and facility inspections with the FSO and government reps.
• Oversee incident handling and reporting of security violations or disclosures.
• Maintain current knowledge of evolving regulations affecting SCI and SAP environments.
• Manage classification guidance and derivative classification activities.
