Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a Human Services Technician to assist CPS staff, provide transportation and documentation, and supervise parent–child visitations. The role includes clerical duties and coordination of appointments to support unit operations.

Responsibilities include data entry, scheduling, and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential; travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of social services/clerical experience preferred.
• Substitution: thirty college hours may be considered in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist agency staff and supervisors with CPS cases including transportation and documentation.
• Supervise visitations between parents and children.
• Perform clerical duties and data entry into IMPACT and other systems.
• Maintain appointment calendars and scheduling requests for caseworkers/supervisor.
• Adhere to policies promoting cultural diversity and work ethic.
• Travel as required and participate in after-hours overtime when needed.
