Job summary

Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS)–CPS Investigations Region 7 is seeking a Human Services Technician. Responsibilities include assisting DFPS staff, transporting clients, supervising visits, and handling clerical tasks.

Requires travel and ability to work with families and diverse communities. Position offers full-time hours, with benefits including health insurance, retirement options, paid time off, and additional voluntary coverages.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (or higher).
• At least 1 year of full-time social services, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, general office, or FPS experience.
• Substitutions: 30 semester hours from an accredited college/university.

Responsibilities

• Provide transportation for clients to appointments as requested by caseworkers.
• Observe/supervise parent and child visits.
• Complete forms and data entry into agency systems (IMPACT).
• Maintain appointment calendar for scheduling requests.
• Perform clerical duties and support unit operations.
• Promote respect for cultural diversity.
• Attend work regularly per policy.
