Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a CPS Family Based Safety Services Supervisor I/II in Laredo, TX to oversee daily operations, staff, and case decisions for child safety and permanency. Responsibilities include staff development, policy interpretation, and interagency collaboration with courts and partners.

Required qualifications include a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent CPS experience paths) and substantial knowledge of agency procedures.

Formación

• Knowledge of agency policies and procedures.
• Skill in effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and use various software packages.
• Ability to prepare clear and concise reports.
• Ability to gather, assemble, correlate and analyze facts.
• Ability to respond respectfully and effectively to diverse groups.

Responsabilidades

• Plans and manages unit operations to achieve project goals and objectives for services delivery.
• Selects, manages, and develops staff through field visits, performance data, and training.
• Interprets program policy and procedures to unit staff, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Evaluates unit performance to ensure compliance with policy and service standards.
• Develops and maintains relationships with community resources and partners.
• Makes casework decisions regarding removal and placement of children; coordinates with legal processes.
• Performs other duties to maintain unit operations.
