State of Maine in Rockland, ME seeks a Child Protective Services Casework Supervisor to lead caseworkers in child protection, adoption, and substitute care. You will assign workloads, review cases, and guide staff to maintain quality services and legal compliance.

Eight years in social work with licensure (LSW/LCSW) or LMSW/LCSW, master’s degree preferred, and MACWIS/Katahdin experience are valued. Competitive benefits and a $80k–$107k annual salary are offered.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of education and/or professional social work experience including two (2) years as a fully licensed social worker (LSW).
• Master’s degree preferred and LMSW/LCSW meets licensure requirement.
• Knowledge of MACWIS/Katahdin and recent child welfare experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, direct, and monitor caseworkers and support staff in child protection, adoption, and substitute care.
• Assess and assign casework loads; review staff cases and provide guidance.
• Research and collaborate to resolve critical and crisis situations.
• Maintain established quality service standards and staff performance reviews.
• Coordinate with other agencies to deliver social services and monitor agreements.
• Review cases for compliance with laws and participate in court hearings.
• Direct after-hours coverage to ensure appropriate staffing.
