Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to assist nurses in direct and indirect patient care under direct supervision. Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification (Heart Saver).
• Current Maryland CNA registration.
• At least 6 months direct patient care experience preferred.
• Ability to read and write English for basic patient care and charting.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
• Ability to safely handle medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under direct supervision of a nurse.
• Follow infection prevention techniques.
• Perform and record delegated nursing care procedures.
• Observe patients and report changes to nursing personnel.
• Utilize resources conscientiously.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, etc.).
• Assist in mobility and turning as needed.
• Transfer/transport medications as needed.
• Distribute trays, fill water pitchers, assist with feeding when necessary.
• Respond promptly to calls and relay information to nursing staff.
