Texas Department of Family and Protective Services is seeking a CPI Investigative Supervisor I/II in Tyler, TX. The role oversees a unit of caseworkers handling Investigations and Alternative Response, ensuring high‑quality, timely safety assessments and protective actions for children and families.

The position requires strong leadership, policy knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to improve service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, plus 2 years of full‑time CPI/CPS experience in a public social services agency OR 60 college credits plus four years CPI/CPS casework experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, directs, and staff case actions related to safety, risk, and permanency daily.
• Evaluates unit performance through case readings and safety assessments to ensure timely contacts and referrals.
• Interviews, hires, and develops staff; conducts field visits and performance appraisals.
• Consults with staff and stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and policy compliance.
