Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician for evening shifts in a hospital setting. You will perform decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilization of medical-surgical supplies, ensuring smooth workflow and timely support to health care providers and patient care areas.

The role requires completion of a sterile processing program, with a path to certification within 1 year of hire; familiarity with Microsoft Office is preferred, and 80 hours per pay period with

• Graduate of a sterile processing program
• One year of general work experience
• Agreement to get certification in sterile processing within 1 year of hire
• Preferred: Certification in Central Sterile Processing
• Membership in Central Sterile Processing Professional Organization

Responsibilities

• Execute decontamination, assembly, packaging and sterilization per procedures.
• Maintain efficient flow of processing procedures and anticipate health care provider requests and patient care needs.
• Unload, sort and deliver linen to departments.
• Monitor storage and distribution of medical-surgical supplies.

Description:

Provides hospital and affiliated facilities with processed materials and equipment by executing established procedures for decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization. Maintains efficient flow of processing procedures, through appropriate case set-up, anticipation of health care provider requests and patient care needs. Performs tasks to decontaminate, prepare and package medical - surgical supplies. Unloads, sorts and picks up linen from semi-trailer and delivers to departments. Completes sterilization procedures, monitors processed storage and distribution of medical - surgical supplies to various areas.

Education

Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent

Preferred: Sterile processing training

Minimum: Graduate of a sterile processing program

80hrs per pp- 3p-1130p variable. on call weekends and Holidays to be scheduled in accordance with CBA
