The role requires experience in hospital/medical office settings, CPC certification (or within one year), and strong computer skills. You will participate in audits, education, and go-live support across multiple locations.

Qualifikationen

• Must have current CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or obtain CPC within one year of hire.
• One or more years of hospital and/or medical office experience.
• Typing speed of 35+ words per minute.
• Proficient knowledge of computer functions and operations.

Aufgaben

• Assign and sequence ICD diagnostic, procedural, and CPT codes to ASC records.
• Enter code and charge information into information systems accurately.
• Identify comorbidities to ensure optimum reimbursement.
• Review reports for validation of accurate transmission and resubmit claims as needed.
• Attend required hospital-wide orientations, meetings, and in-services.
• Provide back-up front desk support post go-live of new EMR systems.
