Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Insurance Coder in Passaic County, NJ. The role requires interpreting clinical documentation and applying CPT/ICD codes without predefined codes.

You will code medical records, advise physicians on coding practices, and manage 150–200 claims daily with high accuracy, while working a hybrid schedule (3 days home, 2 in office) and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in medical coding.
• Strong understanding of office, hospital, and procedural billing practices.
• Proven ability to handle a high volume of claims efficiently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and code medical records, including Progress Notes and Op Reports, independently.
• Offer expert advice to physicians regarding coding practices, ensuring optimal billing accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain high levels of organization, speed, and precision, processing 150–200 claims daily.
• Facilitate proactive communication with physicians and medical staff to resolve coding queries.
