Job summary

OM Internships in New York seeks a Controller to own the close, lead the audit relationship, and build scalable infrastructure for growth. You will report to the CFO and collaborate with an experienced accounting team to drive structured processes and timely, accurate financials.

The role requires deep US GAAP knowledge (ASC 606), multi-entity consolidation, and strong Workday Financials expertise, with a focus on governance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• CPA license active and in good standing.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including external audit and corporate/industry controller roles.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-entity consolidations, and intercompany accounting.
• Hands-on experience managing a monthly close end-to-end and serving as the primary audit liaison.
• Management style: direct, organized, and development-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Own the full monthly, quarterly, and annual close; drive timeliness and accuracy.
• Prepare financial statements under US GAAP with revenue recognition focus.
• Build and maintain accounting policy documentation and management reporting.
• Maintain and improve the general ledger in Workday; manage intercompany/elimination processes.
• Lead a small accounting team; coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
