Job summary
Howard University is seeking 3 Research Assistants to support a federally funded study on Long COVID at Howard University Hospital in Washington, DC. You will recruit adult participants, obtain informed consent, and administer surveys, entering data in REDCap while coordinating with the study team.
Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in sciences/public health, flexibility with schedules, reliable transportation for community visits, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, public health, or health-related fields.
- Previous research experience, clinic/hospital work or volunteer experience preferred.
- Flexibility and availability to adapt to patients’ schedules required.
- Reliable transportation to conduct interviews at various locations.
- Personable, detail-oriented, flexible with scheduling, able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Spanish language is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Screen electronic medical records to identify eligible study participants and contact them.
- Obtain informed consent per protocols and good clinical practice.
- Administer survey assessments and enter data in REDCap.
- Perform and document risk assessments.
- Attend mandatory trainings and team meetings.
- Complete daily paperwork accurately and timely.
