Job summary

Connex Education Partnership is recruiting Cover Supervisors to join the Secondary Phase of a dynamic Academy in Quinton. You will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared lessons and maintaining student focus.

The role requires experience in a secondary school, a degree in education or equivalent, and a safeguarding commitment. You will work collaboratively within a team and independently when needed, with a strong emphasis on pupil welfare.

• Patient, nurturing and empathetic approach.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Strong communication skills with pupils and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children (enhanced DBS required).

Rate of pay: £110 – £130 per day

About the role

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to join the Secondary Phase of a dynamic and inclusive Academy in Quinton. The school is seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals who can provide short-term classroom cover, with longer-term opportunities available for those able to commit to extended placements.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged and on task
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour

Role Requirements
