Job summary

Montgomery County is seeking a Court Reporter to take verbatim records of criminal, civil, and family proceedings. You will use stenography and transcription software to deliver transcripts that constitute the official court record. The role requires high accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work in a team.

Applicants should have formal stenographic training (2–4 years) and comfort with Real Time transcription. Prior RPR or stenographic tooling experience is preferred for timely completion.

Qualifications

• Must meet essential duties satisfactorily as described.
• RPR certificate preferred.

• Proficient in stenographic and transcription technology.

Responsibilities

• Make a verbatim record of proceedings using a stenograph machine.
• Prepare transcripts per Pennsylvania/Montgomery County rules.
• Maintain day logs and exhibit logs.
• Conduct research, binding, record-keeping, and communications.
