Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of an NCRA-accredited court reporting program with minimum 225 wpm sustained dictation at 97% accuracy.
• Four years of experience in general court reporting.
• NCRA RPR designation or successful completion of in-house examination.

Responsibilities

• Stenographically record court proceedings using a stenotype machine.
• Read back portions of the record when directed by the Court.
• Prepare bench orders dictated from the bench by judges.
• Transcribe transcripts via Computer Aided Transcription (CAT) software within specified deadlines.
• Mark and maintain the custody of exhibits offered during proceedings.
• Maintain logs and storage of paper notes and SD cards for proceedings.
