Job summary

Meijer is seeking entry-level Courtesy Team Members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across store services. You will interact with customers and support departments to deliver above-and-beyond service.

As a team member, you will perform duties in cart retrieval, parking lot upkeep, snow removal, returns, cleaning, and cooperation with service desks and check lanes. This role emphasizes organization, communication, and a fast-paced work environment.

Qualifications

• Highly organized with keen attention to detail.

• Able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, twist while handling products.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants shuttle shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishables and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
