Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout efficiently, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all store areas.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety by following procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions about products.
• Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Manage conflicts in a reasonable, non-confrontational manner.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
