Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring at least five items per bag and preventing damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves as needed.
• Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash collection, and general store and parking lot upkeep.
• Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Support safety programs by following procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
