Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
3. Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
11. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.
12. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
14. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
15. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
19. Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
20. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
