Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries efficiently at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, and paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Restock merchandise and gather shopping carts for return.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
