Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
7. Collect and return shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas inside and outside.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
11. Comply with safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and report issues.
12. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
14. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
15. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
16. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Manage conflicts calmly and cooperatively.
18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
19. Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues.
