Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers about grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves.
8. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
9. Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot.
10. Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
11. Handle and set up seasonal merchandise.
12. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
13. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
14. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
15. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
16. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
17. Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
18. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
19. Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
20. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
