Essential Job Functions

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves, gather and return bascarts, clean spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report repairs.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions, and follow all legal and company guidelines.
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments, manage conflict, act with honesty and integrity, follow directions, and support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
