Essential Job Functions:

• Greet customers warmly and bag groceries efficiently, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather shopping carts, returning them to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, picking up trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
