Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
7. Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
8. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
10. Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
11. Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
12. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
14. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
15. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
16. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
