Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Retail experience is preferred but not required

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
  2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
  3. Assist in removing merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
  4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
  5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
  6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
  7. Return merchandise to shelves and gather bascarts.
  8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
  9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
  10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
  11. Reinforce safety programs, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
  12. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
  13. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
  14. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
  15. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  17. Manage conflict professionally and cooperatively.
  18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  19. Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
  20. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  21. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
