Essential Job Functions:

1. Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at checkout for customers.
2. Strive to bag at least five items while ensuring contents are not damaged.
3. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
4. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
5. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
6. Perform basic shelf conditioning.
7. Inform customers of grocery specials.
8. Return merchandise to store shelves.
9. Gather and return bascarts to designated areas.
10. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
11. Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
12. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
13. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
14. Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
15. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
16. Inspect equipment and notify maintenance of repairs.
17. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
18. Adhere to all laws, regulations, and company policies.
19. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
20. Manage conflict reasonably and cooperatively.
21. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
22. Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
23. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
