Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries efficiently while ensuring contents are not damaged, aiming for at least five items per bag.
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
• Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
• Inform customers about grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
• Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all store areas inside and outside.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety by following procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines, including safety and confidentiality.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
