Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at checkout for customers.
2. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
3. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
4. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
5. Inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to store shelves.
7. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside the store and parking lot.
9. Clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
10. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
11. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
12. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions.
13. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
14. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
15. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
16. Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
17. Work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
18. Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
19. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
20. Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve issues.
21. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
22. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
