Job Description: Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger

Responsibilities include:

1. Bagging groceries efficiently and carefully, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offering help to customers with loading bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
6. Informing customers about grocery specials and returning merchandise to shelves.
7. Gathering and returning shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside and outside the store.
9. Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
10. Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
11. Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
13. Creating a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
14. Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
16. Managing conflicts in a professional manner.
