Responsibilities:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restock merchandise.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
7. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and assist with price checks.
11. Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
12. Follow food safety regulations and perform equipment inspections, reporting issues.
13. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
14. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
16. Manage conflicts professionally and with integrity.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
18. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
19. Perform all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
