Job Description: Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.

Responsibilities include:

1. Bagging groceries at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving to bag at least five items per bag.
2. Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
6. Informing customers of grocery specials and returning merchandise to store shelves.
7. Gathering and returning bascarts to designated areas.
8. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining store cleanliness.
9. Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
10. Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
11. Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
12. Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
14. Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
15. Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and managing conflicts professionally.
17. Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
