• Responsibilities include:
• Bagging groceries efficiently while minimizing damage, aiming for at least five items per bag.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assisting in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
• Informing customers about grocery specials and returning merchandise to shelves.
• Gathering and returning shopping carts to designated areas.
• Cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforcing safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment by engaging with customers and answering questions.
• Following all relevant laws and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
