Responsibilities include:

• Bagging groceries at checkout efficiently and carefully, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing customer merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
• Informing customers about grocery specials.
• Returning merchandise to shelves and gathering shopping carts.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining store cleanliness.
• Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforcing safety protocols, identifying hazards, and reporting issues to management.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
• Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
