Responsibilities

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their car.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
7. Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and clean all areas inside and outside of the store.
8. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
9. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
10. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
11. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
12. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
13. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
14. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts effectively.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
17. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform all essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.
