Responsibilities:

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and return merchandise to store shelves.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and gather shopping carts, returning them to designated areas.
7. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all store areas.
8. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
9. Understand the store's layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
10. Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
11. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
13. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
14. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
16. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
18. Support and assist diverse customer groups, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
