Responsibilities:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, ensuring at least five items per bag and preventing damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts.
8. Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
11. Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
12. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
14. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
15. Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Manage conflicts in a non-confrontational manner.
18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
19. Follow directions and seek assistance to resolve issues.
20. Support and assist vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
