Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment, notify maintenance of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions about products.
• Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, manage conflicts, act with honesty and integrity, follow directions, and assist diverse customer needs.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
