Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items in each bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves, gather and return bascarts, and clean spills, trash inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, answer questions about products, and support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts constructively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
