Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills, trash, and all store areas.
7. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
8. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
10. Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products.
11. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
12. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts effectively.
13. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
14. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
15. Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
16. Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
