Responsibilities include:

1. Bagging groceries at checkout, striving to pack at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
6. Informing customers of grocery specials and promotions.
7. Returning merchandise to store shelves.
8. Gathering and returning shopping bascarts to designated areas.
9. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot.
10. Maintaining cleanliness in all areas inside and outside the store.
11. Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
12. Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
13. Reinforcing safety procedures, identifying unsafe conditions, and notifying management.
14. Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
15. Practicing preventive maintenance and reporting equipment issues.
16. Creating a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
17. Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
18. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
19. Managing conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
20. Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
21. Following directions and seeking assistance when needed to resolve issues.
