Essential Job Functions:

1. Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
2. Follow proper procedures of packaging a customer’s order and adhere to the company’s policies outlined in the bagging manual.
3. Fill bag racks and unload shopping carts for customers.
4. Assist in keeping shopping carts in their proper place on the front end and retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
5. Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
6. Keep work station and surrounding areas neat and clean.
7. Assist in stocking milk and eggs, and help customers locate products.
8. Never carry on a conversation with another associate while bagging an order.
9. Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
10. Assist in sweeping, mopping, and maintaining cleanliness of all store areas, including bathrooms.
11. Help keep the parking lot and shopping carts litter-free.
12. Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
13. Replace misplaced items, collect trash, bale boxes, and perform other duties as needed.
14. Properly use the intercom system and understand shelf tags for price changes.
15. Stock merchandise as required.
