Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to the company's policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in stocking merchandise.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and keep shopping carts in designated areas.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot.
• Maintain a neat and clean workstation and surrounding areas.
• Assist in stocking milk, eggs, and other products.
• Help customers locate products.
• Avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping, mopping, and maintaining store cleanliness, including bathrooms.
• Help keep parking lot and shopping cart areas litter-free.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Replace misplaced items to their proper locations.
• Collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Properly use the intercom system.
• Understand shelf tags and assist with price changes.
• Stock merchandise and assist with other duties as assigned.
