Job summary

The City of Lake Forest Park is seeking a Transport Officer under the Support Services Division to safely move detainees between facilities and the court, provide court security, and assist with warrant service.

The position is non-exempt, part-time (16 hours per week), with shifts on court days (Mondays and Wednesdays), and potential evenings. Candidates must meet law enforcement training and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and 1 year corrections or law enforcement experience.
• Must successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation, psychological evaluation, medical exam and drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid & AED certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Move detainees between jail facilities and the Court, maintaining custody.
• Provide court security and supervise court attendees.
• Review warrants and custody paperwork; document transport logs and reports.
