Delaware LLC is seeking a Court Security Officer Supervisor to oversee security operations in state court facilities. You will supervise first-line security staff, enforce courtroom policies, and coordinate with law enforcement to maintain safety and order during proceedings.

Qualifications include an associate degree in Criminal Justice or related field and at least two years in security, with one year in courtroom procedures and report writing.

Qualificações

• Possession of an Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science or related field.
• Two years’ security experience providing protective services to persons, facilities or grounds.
• One year of experience ensuring compliance with courtroom safety and security laws, rules, or procedures.
• One year of experience in courtroom procedures such as seating, swearing in witnesses, presenting and marking evidence.
• Knowledge of legal terminology.
• Coursework or experience in staff supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Enforces safety, security, and orderliness of courtrooms and property.
• Observes behavior to de-escalate disruptive situations and respond to emergencies.
• Inspects court facilities for explosives/weapons and searches entrants; confiscates contraband.
• Sets up and monitors electronic equipment (CCTV, detectors, PA systems, etc.).
• Directs courtroom proceedings, seating, ADA compliance, and opening of court.
• Completes security training and weapons qualifications.
• Maintains records of proceeding events (opening statements, witnesses, examinations).
• Coordinates with law enforcement/state agencies for searches and restraint.
• Provides emergency medical assistance (CPR/AED; Narcan if needed).
• May prepare evidence for juries (gun locks, ammunition handling).
• May supervise jury management and transport/secure jury areas.
• Performs other related work as required.
