Qualifications

• Must pass OPOTC Bailiff Academy/Private Security Firearms Training.
• Ability to pass psychological evaluation to carry a firearm.
• Comprehensive knowledge of court procedures and policies.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Zoom, Webex).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated dependability and excellent attendance.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Secure court sessions and provide protection for court personnel and the public.
• Assist Judge, Magistrates, or Staff Attorneys during court hearings.
• Monitor virtual hearings conducted by the Judge and Magistrates.
• Serve and enforce court orders and process court documents.
• Assist with handling case files and presenting them in hearings.
• Escort defendants or other individuals to the bench or court offices.
• Escort and secure prisoners and supervise move-outs.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Court.
